Summer learning Journey - Activity 30 - A summery Saturday Morning - Kickstart

Kia Ora bloggers,

Yesterday me and my brother worked on the summer learning journey task. We had to create a Minecraft version of a book called a summery Saturday morning by Margret Mahi. It took us 3 hours to do! It was really fun at the same time kind of hard.

I think most people would not do this task as it take an extremely long time.
Here is the video:

Have a  nice day

  1. Kia ora Asmah. Three hours, wow what great resilience. I like the way you improvised with similar items when you couldn't find the exact thing you were looking for. What are your top tips for Minecraft creations? I'm still learning.

Took quite a while. My top tip are to be creative and resilient. We had to keep changing things around and around.
      How was Christmas?

      Have a nice day.
      Bye.

    3. Kia ora,

No problem. I did fun things like going to the beach with my cousins, grandma, Aunties, siblings and my mum. We also went on the lime scooters, went to a restaurant and Starbucks. We don't celebrate Christmas for the belief it's just like a day out.

  2. Kia ora Asmah! Oh wow! What a marathon of design and creativity by you and your brother! Congratulations on your perseverance in keeping at it.

You have created a spectacular setting for Margaret Mahy's story. My favourite of all your creations is definitely the geese - they are super awesome! I especially like the bridge over the water too and the landscape. Well done! Is your brother younger or older than you? Do you often do things together? I love to do things with my sister - her and I get on really well.

I hope you are having a fabulous Christmas time with family and friends. Keep up the great work on the SLJ tasks.

    1. Kia Ora Naomi,

Thank you! My brother is year 5 and I am year 4 so he is older than me. We do kind of but in somethings we like to compete against each other!
      Have a great day.
      Bye.

  3. Kia Ora Asmah,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the summer learning journey.

I think you did an awesome job recreating the journey from the story and you went into some great detail in your video showing us everything you made on minecraft and how it relates to the story!

It is awesome to see you and your brother doing activities together, what was your favourite thing about this activity?

Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!

    Ngā mihi nui,
