Summer Learning Journey - Activity 79 - Cicadas in art - Kickstart

Good evening Bloggers,

Today we had to draw a cicada if we could not find any cicada skins in the garden. I could not find it so I drew a cicada. I want to teach you in 1 sentences what a exoskeleton is. It supports and protects an animal's body from the outside (Which is not the internal).
Anyways here it is:

Hope you like it.
Bye

  1. Kia Ora Asmah,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the summer learning journey.

What an awesome activity and it is great to see you using proactive problem solving skills and drawing a cicada when you couldn't find any, great perseverance.

I think your drawing looks incredible, it is very detailed and shows the shell of a cicada well.

That is a good description of an exoskeleton, do you know any other animals that have an exoskeleton?

Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
