Summer Learning Journey - Activity 26 - Cicadas do maths - Kickstart

 Hey bloggers,

This activity was to write a timeline of what we will be doing. We had to also learn about cicadas and I actually found out very interesting facts. I want to share with you a little bit about cicadas.

Cicadas live underground sucking on plant juices for more than a decade. Magicicada (periodical cicada) is special in the way that they live the longest from every insect. They only immerge every 13 to 17 years. In late spring when the soil is 64℉ they crawl out of the soil and change form.

Here is my timeline:

I hope you learnt something new.

  1. Kia ora Asmah,

Wow! Great job with your timeline, it sounds like you are going to be busy doing some fantastic things!

Why do you want to be an engineer? It sounds like an interesting area to study and work in, you get to do and create so many things!

Thanks for sharing those cicada facts, they’re such interesting little creatures! I was surprised to learn how long they live underground.

    Keep up the excellent work

    Ngā mihi,
    Lauren
